Meaning the XVinstaller closes after it tells me it cant install the mod for some odd reason. Unless you can explain what all that means. All a replacer is going to do is just change one item into another, you have just as much of a chance of "messing something up" regardless if its an x2m or a drag n drop replacer but thats one of the risks you take when it comes to modding.īool_cdecl X2mfile::InstallCostumePartSet(void): Overflow, cannot assign suitable(s) partset(s) id(s)

but thats with mods in general, besides even if you did somehow manage that, you can simply uninstall the mods, then the game, delete the DBXv2 folder entirely if you still have it and then reinstall the game and Xv2 patcher files and then reinstall the mods. Unless the mod is poorly made you wont really mess ur game up. Even if you get some that are replacers and require you to drag n drop files into the data/character folder in ur DBXV2 folder you can easily remove them by simply deleting the character folder in which the mod files were placed in, then just run the game normally and it should revert back to default. So you shouldnt have to worry to much about that, a lot of mods also have both a replacer file and an x2m file should you wish to use them but dont want to replace anything, even if they dont mention that theres an x2m file with it.

My point on this is unless you do something absurd its really hard to break this game from a modding standpoint that cant be fixed by removing certain things, and as a last resort just doing what i mentioned above. For example you install a mod that "works" but find you cant seem to progress through gates in PQs (my most common issue) well removing said mods until the game works normally is a good way to narrow it down. It could simply be an issue with one mod conflicting with another, while its hard to pin it down, it makes it a bit easier to narrow it down if you keep tabs on any mods you install and how the game behaves. Sure it sucks having to do that when things break but theres a number of reasons as to why something can break when it comes to mods for this game.
